well, to make it easy, download a portal (if you want) and just upload an html block and mark the "no body" and "no title" thingy and you got it bro :)
also portals are a great way to keep forums more clear so i suggest "simple portal"

Alex' Manson

is this solved? if so please tick the"topic solved" button down :D
Thanks

... put the files of that portal you downloaded in the packages folder then go to your admin cp on your forums, click packages then click the portal name [install] if no errors you are fie but you must make a backup anyways, then when its dont upload that tag and do what i told you up and you are done .

dude, you can't understand any word of what i say?
please someone repeats what i said with his language or something...

Alex' Manson

i see that it's a verification meta-tag
they need you to put it on  the index so they confirm you are owner, okay
when you install a portal and add a hidden block
THAT meta-tag goes into the index you are talking About, after doing what i said right click and press view source you will find the code there, now, they will accept the verification because the tag is in the index and thats all what you need.
Done?

Oya

the file u need to edit for meta tags is the theme index.template.php - any given page is made up of lots of bits of files but meta tags live in index.template.php

u cant put meta tags in a portal! they have to go into the <head> and no portal lets you just add to <head>

Alex' Manson

yeah and it works with portals too.
no?
correct me if i am wrong plz.

ur wrong

<meta> belongs in <head>

<head> is before <body>

all the page content and everything edited by portals is in <body>

go try it out - if google accepts it when it's not in <body> theyre not following their own rules

live627

The file to edit is ./Themes/default/index.template.php

Idiotji

Ya thats the real thing that i wanted to know, thanks, for all to support me,
