Hi i have just upgraded to 2.0 so am still very new using it
but one prob i am having is the smilies
the smilies don't work anywhere on the forum or shoutbox
i have even uploaded my own and they don't work either?
all i get is the ?
any ideas please

Hey, I just read you moved servers. Did you run repair_settings after moving, to correct paths and urls?

What is repair_settings.php?

Or, in Admin -> Forum -> Smileys and Messageicons -> Settings, is the path for
- Base URL to all smiley sets
- Absolute path to all smiley sets

set correct?

i didn't because i didn't do the swap a friend did
but i just ran the repair setting file and all is fine
so not a clue now

just a quick update the i have smilies in the title of the board topics
ie rules will have an smiley beside it
they show up fine
its just the smilies in the shoutbox and the reply's that are showing as ?

yes they are all visible in there
and as i said on the board topics if u want to have a look
just on the shoutbox and topics etc they don't show anywhere

Hi smitch6,

I found about 60 broken images on your site, all referring to the /forum/Smileys/Smiiliis/ directory.

Which makes me believe that either that folder or it's content is missing or the path to the smileys directory is wrong and your smileys are in another directory.

Can you go check if there is a directory named /forum/Smileys/Smiiliis/ and see if there are any images in it?

There wasn't a directory called Smiiliis because that was a mod of smilies i installed but wanted my own
so i just made one and guess what.........

i now have smilies

On a side note, I noticed your forum can be called with or without www in front of the domain name. This is causing cookie issues. For instance, logging in to http://www.christianstogether.co.uk/forum/ redirects me to http://christianstogether.co.uk/forum/. The cookie however doesn't remember the last url so it logs me out again.
You might want to try enabling subdomain independent cookies in Admin -> Configuration -> Server Settings -> Cookies and Sessions.

if you look at the portals on the right
where it says meet the team and you can see my picture
every staff member had a picture
i transfered it over onto the new server in exactly the same place etc and all files look the same
but i'm just getting the broken link symbol
mine is showing because i re-downloaded it

It's the avatars missing then, not the attachments?

I see 12 broken avatars, however it's hard to determine whether they're in the right directory or not.

In Admin -> Forum -> Attachments and Avatars -> Avatar Settings, what's the setting for 'Upload avatars to...'?

In addition, could you do an 'Attachment Integrity Check' in that section under File Maintenance?
