or perhaps wireless.template.php as it actually is, looking for the functions whose names start with template_wap2

in any case you often need that, e.g. if you want to use post moderation or anything other than simple text posting

Also, why would you want to remove that?  Most mobile devices these days CAN display the full site...

mobile versions should be ad free, IMO... and I do not think that any ad mod actually puts ads into the mobile version.

So, you would have to edit wireless.template.php and display.template.php
