500 error about 10 minutes after updating to RC4

I had everything working fine and happily, until 10ish minutes after updating and installing Dream Portal. I get a 500 Server Error EVERY SINGLE page load. I have no .htaccess file at all.

Did you uninstall all mods before the upgrade? And did you do the smart thing and make a backup?

I didn't uninstall mods because I am always forgetting to do that.
no, i didn't do a backup. I think godaddy provides a backup they do every so often, i dunno. I wish I could downgrade to RC3!

You could do that with a backup. ;)

Have you tried manually uninstalling Dream Portal? Have you contacted Go Daddy?

You can look in the webserver's logs, to see what is causing the 500 error. It must have some problem which is triggering it.

The webserver logs might be found in your host's panel, under 'Logs' or 'raw logs' or something similar. Or, they may be found in your FTP space, in some folder /logs (not from SMF).
Alternatively, you could ask your host where are the webserver's logs, for you to see.
To-do lists are for deferral. The more things you write down the later they're done... until you have 100s of lists of things you don't do.

I believe this topic has come up quite recently regarding GoDaddy.

Someone who hosted their site with them asked for a copy of a backup they had, they wanted something like $150 to provide it  ???

Some people on DreamPortal forum say they have it working fine without changes for RC4. So it's possible the 1.0.2 version is not compatable?

well it has more bugs fixed. I am going to use another portal for now.
