how to add a " read more..." button

hello i just want to know how can i add a read more... button in an article in front page
ive got an very long article and just want it to be shown in some sentences on front page

Hi Kat,

My  explaination. In Wordpress you make a new page, new topic. You write  about four lines (a teaser) then add <!--more--> tag.

You are still on the page you wrote in the first place, not taken from the site. On the index it shows your new post and also a 'continue reading'Boys and their Toys', the url would then become http://jungaling.com/katecorner/?p=469#more-469.

Hope this helps but probably won't...HAHAHAHAHAA

Inside SMF, you could probably use one of the Spoiler mods, and modify the button to say "Read more" instead of Spoiler or whatever
