What does this mean (Recode line endings in textual attachments)

I found it under attachment settings and how you i enable animated avatars on my forum i am runin 2.0 RC

I think for animated avatars you need to allow .gif extension

With avatars  .............

If a member uploads an animated avatar that is larger than your allowed dimensions (Avatar Settings), the software will resize it, but in doing so will "break" the avatar.

If they want the avatar to remain animated, it must be within the limits you have set.
