Mods don't appear (2.0RC4)

This is the weirdest thing. I have tried to install numerous mods, and they all report that they have been installed, but they do not appear on the board. For example, I have attempted to install one that posts an RSS logo from which users can download an RSS feed of the messages, a portal mod, and some with links to social networks. Not one of them has shown up. Nothing appears on a configuration page, they don't appear on the threads, nothing.

What should I do? I'm thinking I might need to reinstall the whole board.
