A newbie is lost- how to overight folder

Am a newbie pls. How can I overight my SOURCES folder in server. I browse to the location of the file in my pc, but I see many other files in it. How can I upload the entire SOURCES package at once, without having to be uploading all the files in it such as subs.php, recent.template.php e.t.c one by one. I use www.ftplive.com client.. Thanks

this would depend on your ftp client and how it works if you are not sure how you could look for a support forum for that ftp client or try another ftp client. How do I use FTP? / What is FTP?

Several of the FTP clients work very similar to explorer where you can select all and then transfer to the server.  Normally a dialog box will open asking if you want to overwrite the existing file.  Many also have an option there to apply your selection to the remainder of the files as well.

Illori's advice on searching for information on your specific FTP client is the best route to go as we may not use your preferred client.
