in the top right corner. how in the workd to i change that to something different?

im using latest version smf and simple portal and a theme desgin by "krilliun".

i have followed some of the things that i have found that was at least similar to my issue that i have found and found a couple other things i was in search of. but i havent seen a thing of where i can actually change that.

"SMF - Just Installed!" is nice, but im looking for something a bit different in the long term

You could disable that two. But to change it go to:

Admin -> SMF -> News and newsletters -> News

Here you can add or change the news

The way willemjan describes is the correct way to do it - it has to go through dropdown menus.

I use the same version. The only thing that could be different is that my site is in Dutch. So I translated the menu names...

The News and newsletters I spoke of in my previous post is just above the menu item to add mods
