Hi, humbug, Merry Christmas. ::)

What were you doing before this error started?

Are you using the default theme or a custom theme. If it's a custom theme try adding ?theme=1 to the url to your forums.

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.

I opened my site and i saw the error message.... i am using default theme ....

If its a problem with the theme then If i upload another theme and change the theme path through repair_settings tool , will the matter get solved ?

I don't think that will work since the theme needs to be registered as being installed. Plus you're logged out.

Can you post the direct link to your forums?
Also try adding ?action=login to it and see if you can get to the login page?

Can you attach Index.template.php as well as BoardIndex.template.php to a post?

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.

Both of those file appear to be clean and there's no variation from the original files.

FTP into your site and browse the files by date and see if any have been altered recently. Like since you last logged in.

Also upload the attached file to the root of your forums and run it. (http://smtek.co.cc/reset_themes.php). At the very least it should allow you to login so you can see the entire error message. This should show the offending file and line number.

Post that please.

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.

That shouldn't be happening as it looks like a theme error and the theme shouldn't be loading. ???

Do you see any recently modified files either in the themes folder or in Sources?

Do you have many mods installed?

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.

So if need be, it won't be too much problem to reinstall the mods if all of the files need to be re-uploaded.

Anything on recently modified files 'cus I'm running out of ideas.

I'm still showing a template parser error.

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer. If that fails, read the manual.

now through repair_settings.php the theme cannot be changed (when i open site it gives same error) , so i changed it to default..

If no files have been modified recently, then the next step would be to re-upload all files since we don't which one is at fault.

Download all of the files as a backup. Hopefully any files modified by a mod will have been backed up. These are identified by the tilde (~) in the file name. Then grab the large update package from >> here <<. Unzip it then start re-uploading the files from it. Do it in stages, first index.php at the root of your forums and then the files for the default theme. If that don't work re-upload the files in the Sources folder.  The most likely suspects would be QueryString.php, Subs.php, Errors.php, Load.php and security.php as those are the files initially loaded by SMF.

If either does the trick, you can now reupload any files modified by a mod from your backup. Not the one with the tilde but the original file. Do this one by one in case any of them are the file giving the problem.

There's no problem there as all of that is in the database. Just don't overwrite Settings.php.

Good luck with it. I've got to go out and do the Christmas thing for the rest of the day.

Hopefully someone else will assist you if there's still problems.
