Why are some icons on the first page resized?

I have changed all the icons in the first page and whereas some of them are the correct size, the icon for the upcoming events and the other for the members are resized to the 2/3 of the actual icon. See what I mean here.
How can I make them appear at their correct size?

Open BoardIndex.template.php and remove the size tags from the image.
