I converted my board to SMF 2.0 RC3 from vbulletin 4

when I did so all of my users PMs from the very beginning of their membership, even deleted ones travelled with them. Many are unable to receive PMs because they are over 200% full.

I suggested they try pruning messages to everything before 14 days. This doesn't seem to be having much effect though.  A user with very few PMs tried it and with one message total is still showing as using over 30% of their total.

Another has used the check messages till all he could see were gone and well as the prune method but is still over limit.

Is there another option I can give them to solve this?

First of all, welcome to SMF!

Regarding your issue, I would suggest truncating the table in your database.

Thank you for the welcome and the reply.  :)

Welcome to SMF!
That should work, if it doesn't reply back here :)

Ok I gave my members some time to get whatever messages they wanted to keep and today I emptied the table smf_personal_messages

However, all members [that I have heard from] are reporting that even with no messages they are getting  a message of having messages in their inbox.

for example

QuoteI apparently have 37 msgs, and am 49.3% full. That's fuller than I was this morning.

Is there another table I should be altering?

Matthew K.

There should be a count of unread/total messages in the smf_members table.
