tried to make the upgrade to the new beta.

following error message after starting the upgrade on the server.

Updating Settings.php... Successful.
Creating new tables and inserting default data... Unsuccessful!

This query:
DROP TABLE smf_log_search;
Caused the error:
Unknown table 'smf_log_search'

what does that mean?
i was upgrading from some version after 1.0 ...

upgrade does not finish, forum is in upgrade mode ...

anything i can do, or just upload the last backup?
(and not upgrade?)

looks like its the same for me ...
i also had a beta version.

Ive uploaded the 1.0.5 upgrade files and started upgrade.php

and got the following message:

The upgrader found some old or outdated language files.

Please make certain you uploaded the new versions of all the files included in the package, even the theme and language files for the default theme.

I have cleaned out all old files, still same message.

You did upload the German languagefiles for 1.0.5?

hainfelder

no, just the ones that came with the upgrade package.
After the error message about old language files i deleted
the german ones.
doesnt make any change ...

hainfelder

so i added the german language filed (105)
and now the upgrade to 1 0 5 worked.
thanx a lot.

maybe I should stick with that version and wait for the next stable one

Well, you should be able to upgrade now to 1.1 Beta 3 Public. However, if you are uncomfortable doing so I'd recommend you to stay with 1.0.5 or use a testarea to try out the new version.
