Email Problem

Hi there, i am using SMF 2 RC3 with Argentum
When i want to send a topic or anything that uses the sites email function it never works.
I dont get at error in the log and neither when i try to send.
I tried localhost and php only.
I have 2 websites on the same server the one works on php only.
What could cause the problem?

can you try smtp? have you contacted your host to see if you have it configured correctly?

smtp i never to to work. It says connection refused in error log.

I have a similar problem. A pure PHP script sends email fine. My SMF 2.0 RC4 system is silently failing to send any email messages or notifications. Nothing shows up in error logs.

I have a separate thread for my problem. I am simply making the point here that the same problem seems to have two instances.

The good thing is that my forum isnt active jet. As soon as members start to come my email system aint working.
