How do i transfer data from my 1.1.12 forum to the 2.0 RC4


I have a large forum but really want to move to the new forum and have setup a test forum using the 2.0 RC4 code, is there a way to move across my old forum data, threads, members details, usernames and passwords etc?

Basically, you can't transfer the data from a v1.x forum to a v2.x forum.

You need to upgrade your v1.1.12 site to RC4.

Naturally, being an intelligent admin, you'll back up everything, including the database, before you even attempt this, won't you?

NOTE: please do not do a backup via the backup option in the admin panel do a backup from your hosts control panel or phpmyadmin.
