How To insert link/image in Post???????

Im confused. I've looked in the smf manual for the answer...but cant seem to find. When making a post, and trying to insert a link or image in the post, I just can't get it right! I've tried every button 9insert image, insert hyperlink,etc) even tried to do it as an attachment.
This is the post I'm referring to:

as you can see, I just don't get it! Im trying to insert the code for alertpay so members can upgrade their acct.

Can anyone explain how to do this in a remedial manner for me? lol thks

for that you would have to try enabling html and using html tags to insert that into your post. be aware that only admin can use the html tag by default.

You do not have to enable anything for the admin to use the html bbcode. Just wrap the above in [html]your code goes here[/html] and it'll work - but it will only work as an administrator for security reasons.
