Anybody with a suggestion?

The SMF File Checker Utility reports tell that those files are not having proper opening and closing php tags

<?php   -- opening tag of php files
?>         -- Closing tag of php files.

Check those files that whether those files are having these tags or not.

but the other files (aeva stuff) is 0 bytes files.
It means those files have not been uploaded properly, get that file from AEVA package and reupload it.
Same goes for all other files of 0 size.

If there are too may files of 0 size I would recommend you to upgrade your forum once again using large upgrade pack.

could you suggest to teplace those files from someone else which running also same smf version,
and his aeva running correctly?

or maybe should i reinstall aeva?

Joker™

Uninstall the AEVA you had on your site.

Delete that package.

Download AEVA from mod site, upload and install it. The try seeking for the errors.

yeap!

i mean if reinstall - and then install again,
everything will be as it is now?
or all the job with the aeva albums should be start from the beginning?

Joker™

AFAIK the settings tables of AEVA will be there even after upgrade, so your settings will be there. Also albums will be there, you just have to reinstall the mod.

But for the case, make complete backup of your database and your forum so that even if something gone missing you can easily have it in hand and can make appropriate changes.

ok tomorrow i will make all the hard job and i will be back for the results....

:)

visualuser

well finally,
i cannot unistall aeva,
it makes a conflict in     ./Sources/Subs.php

i assume that another modification changes the subs.php and thats stacks everything....

so i dont think that there is a soloution, at least an esy one.

Something else,
could i start install the forum from the beggining?
a new installation with a clean 2.0 RC3, and after that install mods from the begginng,
and at the end to add the database?

What could you suggest?

Angelina Belle

One easy way to solve this problem (another mod comes along afterwards and makes trouble for the uninstaller) is to uninstall all mods in REVERSE order you installed them, until you come to the one you wish to uninstall.

Then re-install them in the order you downloaded them (since they are always listed in order of download date).

Another option, of course, is to do the AEVA uninstall even though test failed, and complete the one failed step by hand, using the information from Package Manager as a guide to what to look for.

The information on Manual Installation of Mods should help you out with this.
