I am running the Simple Portal mod for the front page and I when I click the RSS link in Firefox's location bar I get this:

XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://www.google.com/reader/view/feed/http://www.boxdweller.com/forum/index.php%3Ftype%3Drss%3Baction%3D.xml?source=ignitionfork
Line Number 1, Column 1:

Inside of the forums when I click on the RSS link in Firefox's location bar I just get a blank white page.

Can someone make an attempt to see if they get the same results?  Thanks.

Seems to be working for me both with FF RSS  button and footer link :)

OK, not sure why it gave me an error, but I noticed that it did get added to my reader anyway.  Thanks guys.

OK, one more thing.  I would like the RSS feed for my site to only feed one particular forum area.  Can somebody point me to a source of info that covers how to modify that?

Hmm.  I went into the News settings to increase the length of characters that are passed through the RSS feed and then re-added the feed to my Google Reader, but the text remained clipped too short.  I then added a test post with 1200 numbers in it to test the system, but the new topic is not appearing in my RSS feed.  I even added a new (2nd) RSS feed to Google Reader and to my Google desktop and the new (3rd) post doesn't show up at all.  Can you please take a look?

My forum area link:

...and where would I go to edit the RSS feed link so that every RSS feed on my site would reflect the new link to the singular area that I want?  I see the RSS link at the bottom of the page, but not sure if I need to edit that in the template or in a PHP file.

DarrenDriven

OK, I think the number of characters being displayed is solved, Google was caching things and confusing me.

Now I just need to know how to change the RSS link so that every page will reflect the link that I want.

Arantor

It's in your theme's index.template.php
