Change the background gradient behind the logo?

I've found a couple of images that look like the banner background, but when I temporarily replace them it doesn't make a difference in the appearance. Can anyone please either:

1. Tell me the correct filename and location of the image

-or-

2. Tell me where to change the image in the code?

SMF 2.0 on Apache in Windows
