Guests Cannot View Forum

XP SP3, SMF 2 RC 5, Simple Portal 2.3.3

When I log out of my forum I can only see the bottom board (normally 18 boards in 8 categories).

I've used admin panel to set it so that guests can view the forum.

Are there any other settings I need to check that may be causing this conflict?

Check your board access

Admin>>Forum>>Boards>>Modify Boards

Have looked in there and tried to change permissions. Makes no difference. Anything else I can try?

In Admin>Features and options, is "Allow guests to browse the forum" checked?

I'm just outside Dunham Massey, near Altrincham!

You're right. I can't see anything, apart from the portal.

DId you add any mods, just before this started happening?

Prettyurls, maybe?

What other mods are you using?

No mods other than Simple Portal have been added.

I like Dunham Massey, btw. Beautiful part of the country.

is this fixed? i can view one board as a guest now.

No, it is not fixed.

The admin panel is set to permit guests to browse the forum.

Each board has permissions set identically.

Individual board permissions for guests appear to be set the same but there is no setting for 'view boeards', so I assumed that guests would be able to view the forum by default provided that the global 'allow guests to browse the forum' was enabled in the control panel. Sadly, this is not the case. $:-\$

This really seems more like an access issue than permissions

As I stated above go to Admin>>Forum>>Boards>Modify Boards
click modify next to a board that a guest should be able to see (not the one they can already see) and make sure the Guest box is checked.
