not sure if I am good to go, but already showing RC5 on the bottom ... what I did was download the large upgrade package and basically replaced the files.. I never had to use www.yourdomain.com/forum/upgrade.php?

yes, you must run upgrade.php file in order to convert your database from 1.1.x to 2.0,   if you just upload all the files and didn't run upgrade.php  you will have some issues because 2.0 files cannot work with a 1.1.x database.

run upgrade.php and follow the instructions in there :)
