Edit title deletes first message

When edit a message title in the topic list with a double click on the title the content of the first message of that topic is also deleted.

what version of smf did you test this with? what mods are installed on this forum you tested with?

Not able to reproduce this on fresh RC5, must be one of the mods which you are using.
