Problem with installing packages

I am having a problem with installing packages. I upload them successfully, I go to the install page, press install the page loads for around 10 minutes and then goes to my 404 page.

Does this happen with all packages? have you checked your file permissions and ownership to verify that you can actually write to the files?

Yes all files are writable...

and the ownership? can apache write to them?

I installed a few packages before, and now when I try this is happening...

that does not answer my question nor help anyone to find a fix to your issue.

My thought, for some reason, is "Try emptying your "cache" directory, along with your "tmp" one".
