I get the following error when I click on the update link.

2: fopen(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 631 is not allowed to access /home/virtual/site125/fst/var/www/html/forum/Packages/temp owned by uid 48

What should I do?

Contact your host and ask him to turn off safe mode.
