Check the mod site for 'pretty urls' or 'simplesef'
see if thats what you're looking for.

For what purpose, exactly? Doing so has repercussions on a lot of things, not least the capacity to break your site altogether, especially as both of those mods have had issues on some sites for doing that exact thing...
