Email Notification Problem

I recently moved this forum to another hosting company. It uses SMF 2.0 RC4.

Everything seems to work except the email notification for account registrations and for PM notification emails.

Any insights as to why this has happened?

check admin -> mail -> settings and find out from your new host what the mail server connection information is and put it in the correct location on that page.

That approach did not resolve the issue. The default settings seemed to be OK.

Since my own php scripts were using the mail routing at the hosting company properly, I changed the setting at configuration-server settings-general so that the Webmaster Email Address reflected the value that I used in my php email scripts. That value was "mail.URL where URL is the main site name on the www.

I tested those values and the problem was resolved.
