Choosing membership when registering

Is it possible to choose a membership group during the registration process?  Or can you choose a specific board to land in once you've registered, rather than the forum main page?

by default this is not possible, you would need a mod. have you checked the mod site? you can always request a mod if you cant find one. Mod Requests
