Convert some topics from SMF to SMF

Hi,

I have some problems with my old database where my forum is running on...
Now I'm creating a new forum (again with SMF) with a new database...

Is it possible to convert posts from 1 category on my old forum to a new category on my new forum?
Hope someone can help me!

The best thing you can do is upgrading your old database using an SMF upgrade package. Supposing it's a SMF1 branch database.

You don't have to do a complete install but you'll need to have the old Settings.php or make a fresh one.

You can't use (parts of) branch_1 databases in branch_2 databases. Thats the reason you'll have to upgrade. With an upgrade branch_1 databases are converted to branche_2 databases.
