Entering email twice on registration SMF 1.1.x

Hi,

Is there a mod or simple way to make it so that users have to enter their email addresses twice (matching) so that it decreases the chance they make a typo? This exists in the password field, but not in the email field which is very important! It would decrease a lot of bounced and invalid emails.

I found a thread from back in 2004, but apparently those codes don't work anymore!

Someone please help!
