upgrading problem..problem solved

Hi, New to SMF.  Absolutely Love it!

I had so many problems to upgrading to .5 version.  No matter what I did It would not work.
Fantastico Allowed me to upgrade, and now I have now problems.

The problems that I had ...

I had version .2 installed and wanted to upgrade to .5

I could not find the upgrade on the package manager so I downloaded the upgrade.
I uploaded the upgrade and ran upgrade.php and got some error that something was not found,  I wish that I could remember what it was.
I tried to upload the upgrade again by ftp that did not work when I tried upgrade.php I uploaded it as a compressed file and uploaded it uncompressed.

Let's try again, then 

• Dowload the update package for 1.0.5
  
• Unzip it to your local drive
  
• Upload all files to your forumlocation
  
• Run upgrade.php from your forumlocation (for example: http://www.yoursite.com/forum/upgrade.php
