I have recently downloaded SMF and i wonder if i can upload them on a FreeWeb account?

There are two options when u make a freeweb account. Advanced when u upload an already made website in frontpgae or other program. Can i upload that way? If i'll do it in FP?

The free service of Freewebs does not support MySQL and *may* not support PHP, IIRC.

you could...upload the files....but it wouldnt work at all because

A. You dont have PHP

B. You dont have MYSQL

C. You have like, a minibyte of bandwidth...

DO NOT EVER EVER EVER GET A PAID FREEWEBS ACCOUNT! IT IS THE BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER....

I dont know the exact stats and all....but it's like $7.50 a month with NO php or mysql. That is a HUGE ripoff. They probabally are trying to get away with it to make up for giving out free accounts.

Just dump your freewebs account and get a real host....it's like, for pretend sites.

proboards is a good way to start...or GurooBoards...

But you still wont "Own" your proboards...and you wont have full controll over is.
