to add a small icon near groupname?

i try to add but can't do it

for example;

group name: smf &nbsp; <here is a small icon>
i tried to like that;

smf <p>&nbsp;</p> <img border="0" src="http://mysite.com/forum/images/blabla.gif">

but not seen (,

where is my mistake?

i wanted to add it to near the group name.

why would you want to do that? That's what rank images are for...
