Converting BBCode in manually converted database

Hi!

I recently converted all the posts in a pnphpbb2 forum into SMF, we couldn't get the converter on this site to work with the databases. I then discovered that the phpbb2 forum had a "id" with all the BBCode-tags.

My question is if there's anyone out there with enough php/mysql-knowledge that could at least lead me into the right direction of how to convert it. The posts are all posted into the SMF-forum so it will have to be a script that works with SMF, I would be grateful if it could fix the quote-tags too. There's about 107000 messages in the database, so reconverting it is not an option.

Thanks in advance!

Why didn't the converter work for you?

Do you still have the posts from the phpBB database?  The bbcode uid is stored in the database, and that would make fixing this fairly easy.  Still, getting the converter to work might be the best shot, since it does those anyway.
