changing look of forum

Hi i have been a phpbb user for a long time and have got the hang of tweeking the overall_headder and footer files to match my site but would like to use smf for the site i am making at the moment and woundered what files i need to tweek inorder to make the the template i use match my site.
any help pointing me to the right files would be very good
