SMF>>>IPB or Vbulletin

I am thinking of moving my forum from smf into IPB or Vbulletin..so is there a way to move every single members, topics, threads, catagories into Vbulletin or IPB?

Hi,

Of course, we do not provide any script to export an SMF forum to other software.  If you're interested in moving to vBulletin or Invision Power Board, you should ask for help on their developpers' website.

Just for our information, why do you want to move to another forum software?

yes....past few weeks smf is giving me some problem thats why i am moving the forum...yea i said to the IPB support forum but they didn't say anything..and i tried to make a new topic in Vbulletin but i couldn't they say this message when i click in new thread.

You have to buy those softwares, so of course you will have to buy them to convert.

If you have issues with your SMF, we are happy to help you. Just post quoestion in support forums. But like my colleague sayd, we dont provide converters from SMF to another bb softwares. It just doesnt make sense.

This is the SMF board. We don't give any help for converting our forum into another one. Please ask in the support boards of vBulletin or IPB.

It is rather rude to come to us asking us to help you convert to another forum system because your SMF board is "giving you problems". If you can tell us what the problems are, we'll be glad to help you fix them. However, if you would rather convert to another system, then you should ask them to help you.

I own a vB forum. You must purchase the vB forum in order to access the vB vBulletin 3 Importers section. They do offer an importer framework, known as ImpEx for Simple Machines Forum. However, I STRONGLY suggest you work out your issues with SMF as this free forum cannot be beat (In My honest Opinion). I have followed and been a fan of SMF since the YaBB 1 Gold era and still run SMF at one site.
You may ask why I own a vB when I recommend SMF, this was due to a personal issue in the past and I chose to use vB for my board right now.
You must understand that vB would be the board to offer a converter to convert to their board just as if you were an owner of a vB forum and could not afford to pay the yearly fees and chose to convert to another forum such as SMF.
I promise you softmania, I would not leave SMF without offering up your issues for repair. There maybe a simple fix the "Great Unknown" or "Wonderful Oldiesmann" can probably help you out of in a matter of minutes. I have used Invision for a few years, as well as Xoops and SMF is still the best free open source board out there.
I currently pay a high price for support with vB, you get that FREE here!
