not inserting emoticons. where there may be a bug?

Same problem, no emoticons drop down action:

Fresh, clean(smf 2.0.6) install on my test site, no emoticons icon and drop down box, please help?

I've a similar problem!
I see the emoticons, but not in the drop-downbox. I see all in the editor

Just discovered this awesome mod, works beautifully - thanks so much!

Two questions: what are the differences between jtageditor/markitup/simple? Are they only cosmetic? And also, what values can go into the field which is the second option? PM, post, what else?

Thanks again!

Just skins.

Any areas where edit box exists. For example, "faq" if FAQ mod installed.

Same problem here, anyway to move all those to the drop down menu?

One more thing to add, when I just post from quick reply I can't tab down to post and hit enter. I have to actually put my cursor on the post button to reply. Sounds picky but I've been doing it for years. Lol

Very nice mod, would only work for pm\quick reply for me and no emotions button sadly.

I would like to see this updated as it greatly improves the interface into a nice clean pallete, i believe the color option should become a color-picker and glow\shadow and other text effects into it's own dropdown.

I believe the dropdowns should require you to click them as it can be very fiddly when on a phone or on a smaller monitor\browser.

Where to enable this mod?  ???
There is nothing in Theme settings or Admin/Configuration/Modification settings/Miscellaneous.

Lusitanos67

Hi,

Same question, how active this mod ?
I have a personal theme, but nothing appear on quick reply or simply reply.
Same things on curve theme.

Can I see logs ?

Bugo

Open your browser's console and check if there are any errors JavaScript related. Maybe your personal theme uses the old version of jQuery.

Lusitanos67

Thank you for your answer Bugo.

No error javascript, and the version is 2.1.3. That's ok ?

Bugo

I need your theme, for testing.

Bugo and Lusitanos67, did you manage to solve the problem? I also can't find the settings after installing this mod. If I manually add the settings from this mod to another working mod (copy-paste) and save the settings, nothing happens on the forum - there's an original editor everywhere. I really want to test 'markItUp!' mod.

I'm using SMF 2.0.15 and a standard theme. 'Optimus' mod is working fine.

Lusitanos67

nothing for me.

I'm waiting for new version SMF.

Sorry

eloz

Lusitanos67, very sadly.

Bugo, any ideas?

Bugo

Сheck if the mod is installed correctly.

eloz

Bugo, the mod is installed without error, files from zip are in correct locations, but there are no settings like in your picture. I added them manually to another mod, but after saving the settings, nothing changes on the forum.

Bugo

Did you run hooks.php from the mod's package?
You can put it into the forum's root and run from there.
