Facebook thumbnail problem

when i post some picture in my forum and then i will share it in my facebook page only my profile picture thumbnail appear not the original post thumbnail why??can any body solve my problem

are you talking about the like button if so you can use open graph to get around this

What mod, and version?  Sharing things on Facebook is not an installed feature of SMF so I would suggest that you post in the support topic for the mod you are having difficulty with.

It also depends what images are being referred to, if they're attachments, the attachments need to be visible to guests.

If you have not specified any image specifically (ie. your mod) then FB will crawl your full page and see available images and will pick one from them. So as already asked..
Are you using any mod to share link or you have added it manually in your theme ?

If you added it manually, you might want to post a snippet of code that can be looked at to possibly troubleshoot.  Give as many details as possible.

You need to implement OpenGraph features of Facebook properly in order to show desired url. Or you can see this mod which allows you to control image to be displayed with  fb like shared pages.

i read the description but it showing the image link which i want to show in facebook only one image but i want to say here that each and every post which was i m sharing in facebook the image will appear on f.b which picture have in  my post???

Well, for that all I can think is  that if a post has attachment then use it else show default image. If I get time, I will update it.

Unfortunately that mod is compatible with SMF 2.0.x series only. It will not work on SMF 1.x

most likely no and most likely there is not many that would be willing to make it, as most mod authors are working 2.0 for mods.

Only suggestion is to upgrade to SMF 2.0.2 if you wish to use that mod.

You can update your SMF to SMF 2.0.2 without loosing posts however, you will need to install newer version of MODS / Packages you are using.
Making SMF 1.1.x compatible version would not be hard but only issue is that I can do that when I am free from my current work. Though advisable is to upgrade smf to 2.0.2, you will get lots of new things built in SMF 2.0.x those otherwise need mods in smf 1.x

For facebook to use an image as a thumbnail, the image must meet the following:

The thumbnail's width AND height must be at least 50 pixels, and cannot exceed 130x110 pixels. The ratio of both height divided by width and width divided by height (w/h, h/w) cannot exceed 3.0. For example, an image of 126x39 pixels will not be displayed, as the ratio of width divided by height is greater than 3.0 (126/39 = 3.23). Images will be resized proportionally.

Your links need to be flushed before they start working properly. Go to  hxxp:developers.facebook.com/tools/debug [nonactive], paste your link there, press debug, and then try again sharing it on Facebook. It should work.
