Hiya and welcome to the ol' nuthouse!

Thank you :)

Illori

do you have any mods installed?

kat

Looks like your forum's new...

Worth checking these out, even if they're not causing the problem, coz they WILL cause problems, if they're wrong...

Can you get hold of your host and ask them two things?

1) Do you have full ownership of the files on your site. That's a CHOWN thing, as opposed to the CHMOD thing that you may already know about.

2) Does your host have "mod_security" enabled? If "Yes", can you ask them to disable it?

Ninjad yet again... **Rolls eyes**

They won't disable the Mod_security.
Why not?

mod_security is, and if not, WILL be causing problems.
It's being a nasty bumper for a whole lot of sites, causing various problems (we even had a weird case in which it blocked pages with "casino" on it...)

Change your host. ;)

That's just mental.

Eudemon

what chmod permissions do you have with your folders?
have you tried changing the permissions see if it works?

IchBin™

Typically file permissions won't cause you not to be able to post. Especially if you reach the page to actually post something. It's most likely the server issue with mod_security. Take a look at this post and see if it helps.
