Ignore User feature not working?

Attempted to add a person to the ignore list and I still able to see their user and posts.

Is the feature actually enabled here?

yes it is enabled but you need to verify that you set it to not show their posts

profile -> look and layout Hide messages posted by members on my ignore list.

I've just looked again to be certain and yes, I do have the option checked to hide the ignored persons posts.
