changing setting.php

Right I want to change the setting.php but I can not find the file at all. I auto installed it from my web host stuff but when it did I don't know where the files went to and if it did I don't know the ftp details x_x;;;

It should be Settings.php.  Try uploading repair_settings.php into the same directory as SMF is installed...

Do you see the forum directory at all?  Or, where do you have the forum?  Can you give a link?

Well thats the thing. I don't know where all the files were sent to =x
