Is it possible to transfer and convert?

Hello:

This is my scenario - I've been using phpBB on Website Host Provider A.  I am moving my files to Website Host Provider B, and would like to use SMF.  Is there a way to transfer and convert the phpBB forum on Provider A to a SMF forum on Provider B?  I am keeping the same domain name, but with the phpBB database on a different provider's server, I'm not sure how to go about making the change.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Move your phpBB forum first, make sure all is working in the new server, then convert to SMF.
