Windows Server issues on Convert

We are trying to convert a YaBB 2.5 forum to SMF. (the converter requires SMF 1.1.14, which is running successfully) The YaBB forum resides on a Windows based server.

The procedure has worked "semi-successfully" on a Linux box with backup files installed there but the conversion is wrought with errors due to time-outs. We don't have exclusive use of that box so felt the conversion would be better on our own Windows server box.

But when the converter runs, it hangs on the 2nd step. The screen shows step 1 successful: converted MemberGroups. But then it starts converting the members and just hangs up.

The convert program doesn't write an error log. The server log shows:

No errors recorded, it's as if everything just freezes.


Anyone have any ideas why this is hanging on the windows box?
