Adding Twitter feed to my forum

I had an idea last night that it would be good to get a twitter feed showing up on my forum as an incentive to members to sign up for a paid section of the forum.  I plan to open a new Twitter account that will have specific feeds designed for the forum so that twitter feeds aren't mixed up with other stuff from my other Twitter account.

I can see in the modifications there are 2 or 3 twitter feed plugins I could use and was looking for feedback on which ones you use and why, and how it works for you?  Perhaps even a link to your forum to show me an example of what it looks like. Thank you.

Why not look at each mod's support topics, to see what comments people have made?

If you click on "Support and comments for this mod", on the mod's page(es), it'll take you to those topics.

Unfortunately that does the reverse to what I want. I want Twitter feeds to feed to my forum, not the other way around.  I'll go explore the mods section - was just hoping to hear from some who have used a tool and could speak from experience and show me how it's working for them.

I don't think what you are looking into is possible.

Maybe ask the twitter support. (If thewre is such a thing).

There are three mods that claim to do this.  This is one of them.  Best thing I can do is try them out to see what happens.

BUT

It shows all the tweets from your followers as well as your account.

Oh well, I'll have to experiment. I have job requests that come through from clients and I wanted to use a tweet alert to allow non-members to see what is coming through on a regular basis.

I tried the one I mentioned and it's working as I wanted.  It's showing at the bottom of the forum - would be better if it was on the side or the top but it is showing only my posts and no-one else's.  See https://twitter.com/#!/VADirectoryJobs and http://virtualassistantsgroup.net/index.php to see what I mean.

I might try the other two I thought might be suitable later too, but for now it's working. I also have the twitter feed showing up on a blog and a website - all related to the same business.
