Hi everyone!
I have a sql-backup from YabbSE and I would like to convert/upgrade it to my new SMF-installation.
The old YabbSE is history, gone to meet its makers, dead... if you get my point  ::) so there is no way I can do a regular upgrade.
Is there a way I can import my sql-data into smf?

Thanks

I am well aware of the converting tool, but my question was rather if it is possible to import the database file from yabbse without having a "dual install"

thanks

Delete all your YaBB SE files except for the following:

Settings.php
Any attachments/avatars you want to keep
template.php and YaBBImages (if you have a custom theme that you'd like to keep)

Then, download the smf_1-0-5_upgrade.zip or smf_1-1-beta3p_upgrade.zip package (depending on whether you want to use SMF 1.0.5 or SMF 1.1 Beta 3 Public) and extract all the files to your hard drive.

Upload these files to your YaBB SE directory via FTP (I highly recommend FileZilla).

Point your browser to http://www.you.com/yabbse/upgrade.php (where http://www.you.com/yabbse/ is the URL to your YaBB SE directory).

That will automatically upgrade your YaBB SE tables to SMF and you won't have a "dual install" of any sort.
