Install Requirements
This mod was tested on SMF 2.0.17, as well as SMF 2.1 RC* and up. SMF 1.x is not and will not be supported.

Introduction
This mod adds a new IP lookup to your forum, to the "Look up IP on a regional whois-server" page.

Code (Spanish_latin-utf8) Select Expand

What is the general purpose of the mod? Is it supposed to show you a geo location of where a comment was made from?

EDIT: I installed it and it seems the "regional" results are the same as the existing default IP Lookup that comes with the script. Is there supposed to be something different, because as I understand it, the IP results are always coming from the COLO, which means if the guest or member is responding from a phone, (which almost all of mine do) It's always going to show the same IP results.

Right, but if a guest or member is posting from a phone, their IP address is always going to resolve to the COLO where the service is being provided from. Not an actual realistic "current" geographical location.
