I wanted to keep the layout of the default theme, and just recolor the buttons.  Here's what I did, but with no success:

  • I made a new theme copied from default.
  • I copied the "images" folder from default into my new theme.
  • I replaced some of the images in the "english" folder with new versions

but I'm still getting the old ones showing up.  I also modifiied the CSS (in my theme) to change some colors, and those changes are showing up just fine.

Am I doing something wrong or missing some key setting?

Thanks!

Sorry, I'm a moron.  Uploaded from the wrong directory...  Duh.

Apparently not so moron...

I uploaded the RIGHT files (checked this time) and still get the old ones displayed.
Any ideas?

you need to change the images url in current themes settings.
The only thing php can't do is tell you how much milk is left in the fridge.

that really isnt needed....you could simply do it from the admin cp....

Or it can be detected easily by clicking once and not typing a thing...  Honestly, that's what it's there for...

Dan, you cannot change any other theme's settings besides the default with repair_settings.php

Can you post a link to your forum?

Problem solved!  I changed the images directory in Current Theme Settings and it worked.

Thanks for the responses.
