im on 2.0.3! i had the SAME error in 2.0.2.
PLEASE fix this god damn bug.

as soon as a person buys a subscription it goes STRAIGHT to "Finished, 2005"..
ive tried with non-recurring payments.. and recently i had a message from paypal explaining that they might dissable the IPNs?
the IPN is right... ("http://URL/subscriptions.php")...

what is going on?......
PLEASE get a fix god damn it.

if searched and i kinda guess you should take it off the forum.
and also im using free 000webhost survice.

Are you sure the permissions on the file are correct?
Try accessing the URL from your browser and see what you get.

Take a peek at what I'm doing! ;D

Are you gettng a paid subscriptions error in your error log?

Any errors at all? There isn't a specific category for subscriptions in the log.

ExOTIXx

the only error im recording is: Unable to load the '/menu_language/main.english' language file. but that is nothing of this sort..

He's not receiving the IPN.

What exactly did PayPal tell you?

Ashes and diamonds, foe and friend,
we were all equal in the end.

                                     - R. Waters

ExOTIXx

They said that the Messages have not been sending, and that they may stop IPNS..

ExOTIXx

This is the exact email:

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). Instant Payment Notifications sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

http://sasdayz.net63.net/subscriptions.php

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

Yours sincerely,

PayPal

IPNs are not reaching your forum.  Appears to be a host problem.

You have to contact your host support and send them the PayPal email.

Tested a bit with a paypal sandbox account on a 000webhost free site I use for testing and paypal doesn't even try to contact IPN.
It's most likely something related to the host.

Yeah, nothing good usually comes out of using free hosts.

Arantor

So the first half the issue - the 2005 end date - is tracked under https://github.com/SimpleMachines/SMF2.1/issues/1167

The second half, of PayPal not issuing the IPN, that's not something we can actually fix.

This topic doesn't add anything new to the information we have, so moving to fixed.

Try 0644 permission for the subscriptions.php file

Arantor

Nope. If you browse to subscriptions.php you're always going to get that error regardless because you're not supposed to visit it directly.
