What do I have to do to stop having the title of the thread being auto inserted into each reply 'Subject' within a thread?

I know some of you prefer it for being able to copy/paste or give someone a direct link to a particular post... BUT, please... I would like for it to be blank by default.

I'm browsing the forum for the opposite solution of the post above.  My subject field is always blank.  How do I make it automatically fill with "Re: <subject>" when replying?

Can't find a solution anywhere.   :(

bgspoonz, it can't really be blank, but it could not be displayed. You'd need to modify Display.template.php in your theme dir.

kac, do you have that happen in the default theme or a custom one? If the latter, ask the theme author to help you add it.

I'm using the default "Classic YaBB SE Theme" that comes with the standard SMF package.

I really want it to be like this forum where the "Re: *" comes up automatically.

Any ideas?

Well, someone in the design team will be more familiar with the templates code, but if I had to do this change, I'd open Display.template.php and search for 'subject'. ;)
