Need help with a mybb mod :(

Ok i have a smf forum and a mybb forum
But the problem i am having is with a mybb mod so i was wondering if anyone could help i cant even sign up at the mybb site to ask for help cause there activation method is messed up so i cant post so was hoping if anyone could help me with this please.

Ok i installed the advanced statistics plugin 1.01 uploaded to the rite directory and activated the plugin

But now for it to show i have to do this:

Edit index template
Find

Code:
{$header}
Add below

Code:
{$changstats}
<br />

The topic tutorial is here if this helps but i tried following everything http://community.mybb.com/thread-48322.html
But the problem is i go to index.php in ftp and go to find {$header} and i cant find it so what shall i do now ? for the plugin to work

Not sure if you still need help with this or not but you would need to contact the folks at myBB about you're registration. We obviously can't help you with a competing forum software here.
