Why does this image appear on my Package Manager page? It appears under the heading "Latest Packages," to the right side of a listing of "New Packages" and "packages of the moment." The image file  is not on my server where my bulletin board is, instead, it is a hotlink to simplemachines.org/smf/images/package.png. It is just an image; it is not a clickable link. Also, what does the text mean that is in the image, why is it there: echo `<div>';// a comment  ??? Why an image with text in it? Why the image at all?

Because someone thought it would look nice.

As for the text in it, that is to be representative of the fact that a package contains computer code.

This is going to be removed in 2.1 as far as I know.

Anything else you want me to explain the rationale for?

The image seemed out of place. I thought that maybe my server where my bulletin board is had been hacked or something. I was expecting to hear from someone saying "my bulletin board doesn't have that image; your server must have been hacked."
